CHAPTER – I
The study on “Recruitment policy in Zylog System (P)Limited, Chennai. ” has been conducted among the employees of the Zylog system (P)Limited,Chennai. The sample size of 200 employees was taken for collecting employee’s opinion towards recruitment policy, exit interview, mode of selection, etc., of Zylog system (P)Limited, Chennai.
The main objective of the study is to find out employees’ opinion and suggestion towards recruitment policy, which will be useful to the management for restructuring the recruitment policy.
Data has been collected by the survey method by circulating a questionnaire. After the survey, the collected data has been analysed through tabulation. The statistical tools to be used in the research are stated below.
- Simple percentage method
- Weighted Average Rank method
- Chi-square Test
- Pie – diagram
- Bar – diagram
- Line – diagram
After analysing the data, the findings have been prepared and recommendations have been given to the company.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The nature of problem that the management of an organization faces in recruiting the manpower they require, varies from industry to industry, unit to unit and from time to time. Recruitment is thus, an important step in industrial employment and subsequently the ultimate success or failure of such employment depends in large measure upon the techniques, methods and practices by means of which the employees workers are brought into the industry. The present study attempts to find the overall effectiveness of recruitment policy of this organization.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
To study the recruitment policy of Zylog System (P) Limited.
- To study socio – demographic characteristics of the respondent.
- To find out the association between the selected socio-demographic variables and the various dimensions of recruitment.
- To assess the various contributing factors of the recruitment process.
- To suggest suitable measures to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment policies.
